Facebook Withdraws Changes in Data Use (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/19/technology/internet/19facebook.html?_r=1&ref=todayspaper)

From the NYTimes:

After three days of pressure from angry users and the threat of a formal legal complaint by a coalition of consumer advocacy groups, the company reversed changes to its contract with users that had appeared to give it perpetual ownership of their contributions to the service.

They say that wasn't there intent, but the put back to previous TOS (Terms of Service) "temporarily".

This could be cool though:

Facebook’s chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/z/mark_e_zuckerberg/index.html?inline=nyt-per), also invited users to contribute to a new Bill of Rights and Responsibilities, which would serve as a governing document for the site.

It'll be cool only if they actually listen (which they didn't when they went from old to new facebook - I hear more complaints about the new version than I ever did about the old one but that's a whole 'nother can of worms). I'm taking a wait-and-see approach.
