I do not currently have Word on my computer. I do have Word Pad which writes RTF documents. Movie Magic (screenwriting program) has a word processor which will save as RTF for a PC or a Mac. If I save something as RTF and it looks formatted in Wordpad, is it still formatted in Word?

Yes. RTF is a simple(r) set of code. MSWord should read that formatting regardless of what program wrote it. (If the program adds extra garabage in the code, that might affect it, but the formatting should remain intact.)

A script saved as RTF from MMS will open in Word with correct margination and indentations. Some of the fine points are lost, like this: The Character Name in the RTF may be on the last line of a page and be separated from the dialogue that goes with it. You can correct this kind of thing in Word by using Styles.
