I see my most recent rep point from thethinker42 is for this post, quoted thusly (and referring to the film March of the Penguins):
scarletpeaches said:
My aunt bought me that DVD. All back to mine for a pengfest?

thethinker42's rep point says:
thethinker42 said:
How about a Colinfest instead?
The above inspired this insightful, deep and meaningful, probing, adult and spiritually mature thread.

Let's assume you were invited to a DVD evening at scarletpeaches' house and you were brave enough to attend.

Which would you prefer? March of the Penguins and Happy Feet or:
SWAT, The Recruit, Alexander, In Bruges, Minority Report, Miami Vice and Phone Booth?

It was a tough choice, I opted for Colin Farrell, but, do I have to watch 'Minority Report'? I loathe Tom 'I'm utterly bonkers' Cruise.

Well I have six other DVDs to make up for it and he's exceedingly hot in The Recruit so we can skip MR if you insist...

I've gotta hand it to Colin, he really gets stuck into his film roles:

Definitely Colin. Why, when I picture Colin and baby penguins together, do I imagine him with a machine gun and bloody feathers everywhere?

Definitely Colin playing with baby penguins.

But since that's not an option, I have to go with Colin. Always.

No brainer. I'll take a ridiculous, fuzzy bird with cold feet over a sawed-off, drunkard with apparently a dubious hygiene routine any day. (Although that film, In Bruges does look very funny.)

Sorry, my dear Scarlet.

*sigh*

Well, I happen to like sawed-off drunkards with apparently dubious hygiene routines, thank you!

(An In Bruges is insanely funny in parts. Heartbreaking in others. What us Brits call a 'black comedy', I think).

Are you going to undo all your naughty rep points to me and turn a cold shoulder to my friendship?

Yes, he's been in some movies I've liked as well. His off-screen reputation doesn't impress me, but I'm sure he'll be sobbing to know that.

It's just fun getting SP all annoyed.

unfortunately, im gonna have to go with penguins. because a) you included the excrement called Alexander on the list (please no whining about leto waah waah there wasn't enough action between them to make up for the horrors of the blond hair) and b) i'd be worried the whole time that you'd get carried away and do something ummm inappropriate with the tv. so yeah, penguins.
