The reputation points that you get are only half the story. This is about possible reasons for points that you didn't get. :roll:

Number of points that may be withheld by irked viewers for:

Not using forum search - 10

Not using Web search - 15

Not wording a question clearly - 20

Starting a thread with a meaningless subject line (like "I have a question...") - 30

Beginning a post with "So" - 80

Penalties subject to change according to observed frequency of misdemeanor and other purely subjective criteria

Not knowing how to spell emoticons, -1000

Making fun of the old fart because he doesn't give enough of a crap about emoticons to even care how it's spelled, -1000.

Having, but remaining almost completely unable to effectively use a photobucket account, -100. (One day I'll figure out photobucket, one day.)

Using sexy avatars of partly undressed women, +1000 (partly undressed cartoon women, +250)

Do the mods really refract these rep points from us, when they skim them down>?

Must be quite a job to read everyones rep everyday - or they get get banned automatically, because there is a criteria command in place?
