So they finally release some rough sales numbers. Hmmm. After Oprah and all they sold 500,000 (approx--that is a suspiciously round number from a partican consultant, citigroup previously put the 2008 number at under 400,000). So I would argue the new book iPod is, in fact, the iPhone (in 2008, 10 million of these sold, so even if only 1/20 is used with the book app that is at least equal to the Kindle, and with the app being downloaded over 300,000 times just since June I think it is actually more widely used)

I think Citigroup is within a whisker of failing as a corporate entity and therefore, they have no opinion.

That said, ebooks will take off like crazy when they make an affordable ebook reader for the masses. Like $50.00 or something.
