I've finally reached the age where I talk to the TV.

I've been talking to the TV ever since I was a kid, and to the radio too, even if there's other people in the room! :D

I do that all the time, especially with quiz shows. I picked it up from my grandparents. If you shout the answers loud enough, the contestants hear you.

Also, snooker. If a player's going for a 147, I shout "GERRIN!" at the ball and it works.

Susie! Is that your answer to everything?

Oh it is? Very well.

Works for me. :D

Talking to the computer is normal. Multimedia being what it is, it's not out the question that the computer may in fact reply.

However, making the computer cry is generally not recommended.

I scream at the TV, so I got rid of it last year. Since then I've written two manuscripts and read about ten books. Turn it off or put a bullet in the damn thing. It's a waste of your life.

I talk to the computer too. I learned from my husband to laugh out loud and comment, even to no one, about what I'm reading, watching or listening to. Guess we're both nuts, but life is more fun now anyway. :)

My husband always wants to know what I'm laughing about when I'm here, but I don't want to tell.

This place is my own private heaven.

And when they get the answer wrong, BOY do they get it!

"You <garbled in transmission>ing idiot! I told you three times it's Alice In Wonderland! Big <garbled in transmission>ing difference between that and When You Give A Mouse A Cookie..., so don't give me that <garbled in transmission>ing 'meh' shrug! Come down there and <garbled in transmission>ing smack some <garbled in transmission>ing sense into that <garbled in transmission>ing thick skull of yours YOU KIDS GET OFFA MY LAWN!"

There's an insanity test online. Some of its questions are:

Do you ever talk to plants?
Do you ever talk to animals?
Do you ever talk to inanimate objects?
Do you ever talk to yourself?
Have you ever had a meaningful conversation with any of the above?

I talk to the TV all the time too. I tell people in commercials how dumb they are and sometimes I'm surprised when the next time the commercial comes on they are doing the same thing. (I just said too much didn't I?)
