I've run out of family members and volunteers to read through my first novel. Any helpful criticism would be welcomed. I'd rather hear it from a beta than not hear anything from a submission.
The book is "The Ice Magnet," about a pair of twelve-year old girls and their father on a journey to the South Pole to save Earth's climate. I think it's an adventure/coming-of-age story with a splash of scifi and a fair amount of history. (I'll work on this description before I get my query letter written...)
It's 30,000 words, 151 pages. I can provide sample chapters or more info if anyone needs it.
