I got a bunch of photos from my boys this morning, and I had to share them! They had a Guitar Hero party night before last. When I was their age, video games consisted of Atari and . . . um . . . Atari? This blows my mind. And let's not forget the line of liquor bottles along their kitchen cabinets. I guess they thought mom would LOVE to see that!

In this one, my younger son, Seth, is playing the guitar and my older son, Daniel is singing.

In this one, Seth is in the middle looking oh, so serious!

This one shows that my baby boy hasn't seen a haircut in a few years and also that he does, indeed, know how to smile! And he is in pre-med? *faints*

Meredith, the girl Daniel and Seth have both been smitten with since junior high

I don't think my TV is that big!

What the heck is a video game? You're YOUNG, Carole! :D

My daughter and her roomies exercise using DDR. No pics, though.

What is funny to me is that as soon as I read your title, I thought "Guitar Hero."

And I didn't even slightly think that that's what this thread would be about. lol

I just got it this weekend and I fear that I will no longer be able to get anything else done. So addicting.

Seth has a Wii, but he lives in the dorms so there's no room to use it for a lot of the things it does. I hear it also has some great exercise games. I admit that I tried the golf game on Wii and it was fun. And I hate golf!

I'm still in shock that there is photographic proof that Seth knows how to smile!

Daniel had Guitar Hero while he still lived with us and it really is fun. I only played it a little, but some of those songs go so fast that you get wound up like a spring trying to keep up! And let's not forget those awful sour notes, too. Haha.

Daniel actually knows how to play guitar for real, and he's very talented. He thought this game would be easy for him because of that. He says, "Nope!"

Ditto with my son, on both counts. He said he sucks at guitar hero, but wants to buy it anyhow.

And I think if he smiled, the camera would break...

Ah, those were the days. Playing Zaxxon on my ColecoVision. Glad to see things haven't changed that much.

My son ROCKS at Guitar Hero. Well, maybe just in comparison to me, but I think he's pretty good.

Back in college, I probably sunk enough quarters into the Ms Pac-Man game in one of the student lounges to finance at least half my tuition. Well, I graduated, looked for a job, got an entry-level position in the quality control department of one of the circuit board manufacturing lines at Big Blue. My first day at work, I was shown how to operate some of the testing equipment, then put to work on a machine that tested capacitor sites...

Using a joystick to maneuver the microscope.

Turns out everyone in the department hated that machine - thought it was almost impossible to work. They couldn't figure out how on earth I picked it up first try. :D
