A dark, evil place.

Of course it's not like they have much else to do.

Okay. That was a tad flippant. Sorry. Yeah. Good story. :)

Except that elephant life = what? 60+ years? Dog life = about 15 max. Not good news for the elephant. Let's hope she can find a new canine friend when the time comes.

Yeah, I know I'm a cynical old fart, but I noticed they never said how the dog got her 'spinal cord injury'. I'm sorta thinkin' that maybe, just maybe

Bella stepped on her.

omg joe you are such a cynic. my brother's dog had a spinal cord injury that sounded just like what tara has. it came out of nowhere. they thought they had to put the dog down. we were all devastated. as a last resort, the doctor gave the dog massive amounts of muscle relaxants and the dog recovered. grinch. :D

eta so many things are wrong grammatically with what i just wrote, im not even going to try and fix it.

Reeeaaalllly? You don't think that maybe, just maybe

Your brother sat on the dog?

Mystery solved, thank you, thank you all. I'll take a bow.

actually, now that you mention it. my brother is 6 feet and ummm hefty. and the dog is a dachshund. it would be equivalent to an elephant sitting on a normal dog. you may be on to something.

No, I'm full of crap, as usual. If an elephant stepped on a dog, there'd be nothing left but fur and dog grease.

But I did think it was sorta suspicious that they didn't mention what, exactly, caused the injury and, well, my mind being twisted the way it is, I saw some black humor in the situation.

So that explains all that with the elephant.

I still think your brother sat on his dog, though.
