I begin tomorrow-ish as a unpaid reader for a prodco in LA (I communicate from CT, how else? via their secure site). I couldn't be happier.
Of course I'm nervous, and apprehensive about taking on another essentially extracurricular activity. But this could also be a good thing, networking into a paid opportunity. What do you think?

Networking opportunities that may lead to a paid position, stepping out of your comfort zone for reasons of self-improvement, doing something that makes you happy - sounds pretty stupid to me.

Really, who gives a rat's a$$ what anyone thinks. Since you couldn't be happier, I couldn't be happier for you. Good luck, Mario, and contratulations!

If you don't try new things, you'll never get ahead. I think it's a great idea. Hope it went well!
