They did it! Canada captured Gold from Sweden. The fat lady just sang out the last note.

Ho, hum. Just another year in the World Junior Hockey Championships.

Of course we won! Is there any other possible outcome? :D

Tavares is on our hometown team...there wasn't another possible outcome. Of course not.

It is our game. I'm surprised anyone even shows up anymore. Of course we're gonna win it. Just give us the trophy already.

Yeah, what a game! It may be old hat to us, but it's new for a lot of those kids. There was a Cormier in the lineup!

Yay Canada!! Great game. I love the look on the kids' faces when they won.

I do think the Swedish goalie might have a career in acting.

I'm curious. How much did Canada actually pay for this championship?

I'm glad we won. We deserved SOMETHING after all that traffic here in Ottawa! Hahaha. It was ridiculous... especially with the bus strike.

*Sigh*

Transit strikes suck, Kathleen. Hope it gets resolved soon. (It would probably get resolved sooner if our MPs didn't have reserved parking spots at Parliament Hill. Now there's a thought...)

Yeah... it royally sucks. I have to live at my mom's in Hull for the time being just so I can get to work with the Gatineau buses.

I go home twice a week--max.

I feel your pain. I have to get up at 5:30 am to beat the traffic from my westend house to my downtown office. The only bonus is that I leave at 3, but I'm just too tired to stay up past 9:30 at night.

God, I hope this strike ends soon!!!

Looks like there are more Ottawans on AW than I thought! :)

Really? Are there more of us? I know of one other. So that makes 3, I guess.

I didn't think there were that many people in Ottawa who could write coherently... :tongue

Oh, come on...sure, well, that's just not...y'know. I think you're just one of those thingies in a basket with stuff on top. Just because we have to write through chattering teeth. You think we're all shiver snot and stuff...

Yes--to everyone's disbelief, I did not write my book in an igloo.

I tried making an igloo before. Didn't have much luck to be quite honest.

I like to take my dog-team for a good mush around the block every day. Get an appetite going before i dig into that whale blubber for dinner.

I wasn't actually referring to the fact that you were farther north than me (which you are), but that Ottawa seems to be the home of far too many politicians, who, as we all know, write in a language that's not English, not French, and not comprehensible by mortal brains...
