View Full Version : National Fabio Day Planning Committee

Out of reverence for man-cleavage and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, it is best that we begin preparations now. I shall begin by researching old threads and pinpointing the nationally legislated holiday.

I shall return with the appropriate date.

C.bronco
01-03-2009, 07:34 AM
By my approximations, it is May 15th. If I am incorrect, we could settle for an arbitrary date, or the correct one.

Committee volunteers shall be rewarded with virtual mimosas and google images of decadent brunches.

Is it Lito or Lido?

C.bronco

Now I'm not sure!
Lito rhymes with Tostido TM, torpedo and Sausalito.

Can you put Dale Jr. in the plane too?

Isn't one NASCAR superstar enough?

Hey, I'll throw in a trip to Darrell Waltrip's Honda dealership in Franklin, Tennessee.

Yanno, I don't want to make Jimmie's wife jealous, and Jr. is single. :D

Would you people stop posting in this thread! If we leave it along if might drop out of sight and maybe bronco will forget she ever posted it.

The alternative is . . . daily Fabio updates, Susie will insert a sparkling Fabio signature, silver king will post a photo of Fabio catching a world-record tarpon (just as an excuse to post another fish photo), discussions in the book forum will be about which Fabio cover was the hottest, there will be poetry titled Ode to Fabio, the romance writers will host a "write 500 words about Fabio" challenge, the flash fiction people will write about . . . what else? Fabio. It will never end!

Does it start with "I can't believe it's not butter?" or is that not enough syllables or something?

I used to know that sort of stuff but it's been too long since 10th Grade english, and all I really retained was the notion that 1/3 rd of Shakespeare's sonnets were to a gay lover. :D

Williebee

Oibaf, in the ancient tongue of the Gumbites, the manufactured people, means Urkel, or he who is not pleasingly enhanced. It's also slang for "he who cannot turn left".

this just keeps gettin' weirder, doesn't it?

George Clooney gets ready to battle his arch nemesis Fabio.

Well, AlleyCat, you just took what little appeal George Clooney ever had and smashed that. Okay, I never figured that one out.

Fabio wrote a couple of books, well, Fabio signed a couple of romance books someone one who was someone in romance wrote, and I can't remember her name. The books did make me shy off romance for awhile. He's definately for looking at not reading.

I saw a couple Fabio written books at Half Price in the discount area. For a buck I was going to pick them up, then I thought, you know, I could buy a bag of chips at work for that buck, so I didn't.

You only wounded it slightly.

You need to practice finishing off your quarry. A head shot will usually do it.

The Fabio thread is dead!
Sorry. I was ill for a day or so.

So, kids, what would be the most appropriate snacks to serve on National Fabio Day?

You just HAD to revive this thread . . . you just had to.

I thought you had moved on to shower curtains and fuzzy toilet seat covers.

What to eat for snacks on the infamous Flabio Day?

Crow... very rare.

The Fabio thread is dead!

Fabioenstein looks to be given new life by a demented scientist wishing to wreak havoc on the villagers. Time to get out the pitchforks and torches and storm the castle.

Some people just live in the right place at the right time. Has she put out a restraining order yet?

It isn't so much the person, Fabio, the individual romance novel cover model, sometime recording artist and celebrity that we celebrate, rather, it is the spirit of Fabioliciousness which we must each embrace into our own tanned bosoms and waxed torsos (though I don't need to wax my torso, mind you) and proudly proclaim to the world that we, too, caaan't believe it's not buttah!

I saw a life-size cow made out of butter at the Illinois State Fair, now that was something worth celebrating.

Come, come, I know you jest!
:D
Lift your eyes to the sky, and shout, "I, too, can wear suspenders without a shirt!"
That, my friends, is the spirit of Fabio which makes this holiday so special. That and low-cholesterol bagel-spread.

This makes me think that bagels might be a good addition to the Fabio Fanfare Buffet. I'm heading to jot that one down in my planning journal. See you folks later!

They said you might need a stunt double to stand in for somebody or other...

Fabio. A true Rennesaince man. Cover model. Author. Move and TV star. Recording artist. Clothing Designer. Icon.

OMG. He's only 2 years younger than I am! Life is so unfair.
