Awful. My impression from seeing a couple of pictures of that child years ago was that there was some kind of developmental disability there--autism, mental disability, or both--and seizures in kids with so called special needs can be more difficult to control than in typically developing children.
May his parents eventually get some kind of peace.
John Travolta is one of my favorite actors. I've always enjoyed his movies. We hear a lot about people in John's position, about his religion or his airplane collection or his very own runways in Florida. But at times like this we're reminded that he's one of us and he feels a pain on a level with which we can all recognize.
I grieve for his loss.
How terribly, terribly sad. I truly hope they will be able to find peace somehow. I don't know how parents live with a loss like that. It's unthinkable to me. I am truly grieved for them.
Yes, and to add, as the mother of an 18-year-old son, I know this must be a terrible thing to have to deal with. Parents fully assume their children are going to live long lives.
Of course Cyia. There's no reason to hold the body. I expect there will be some sort of inquiry as there always is with a death, but they will be able to bring their son home.
