My guess . . . small banner ads, just like this site.

Funny, I've gotten so used to ignoring website ads, that if someone has asked me, I would probably have said wiki had ads already.

They won't go bust.

I've suggested that they ask for a five or ten dollar donation for their software though; Wikimedia, the Wiki software used on Wikipedia and so very many other sites, public and private, many of them corporate, is certainly worth it.

I despise Jimbo Wales and his rewriting of Wikipedia's history.You'd never know Wikipedia was founded by two people. I will never give a red cent to Wikipedia as long as Jimbo Wales is involved.

If they don't get enough donations, I would guess some banner ads are inevitable. I use the resource frequently and am happy for them to do whatever they need to in order to stay in business.
