This is marginally writing related because I use my GrandCentral voicemail number on my writing website, but I couldn't figure out which topic was right. Are there any other GrandCentral users here? If so, do you have any idea why the numbers and invites have become so precious? I know they stopped giving out invites, but on Ebay they're going for $100 up to almost $200, as are existed phone numbers. Whew! A year ago I bought my invite for 99 cents.
This scares me because my GrandCentral number is out there a lot. I use it for website feedback, stores, online purchases etc. I sure hope they're not going to disappear. Granted, they are owned by Google who is going to take over the world someday but this scarcity/rarity is scaring me. I got shafted with a previous free voicemail provider so I'm a little paranoid. Guess I need to stop being so cheap!
