That's pretty funny. Thanks for sharing!

The music scared the cr*p out of me initially as the pic loaded first and I wasn't quite prepared.

I have been following this video for quite some time. (Yes, I have a serious problem, I know!) It actually has a very interesting story behind it. It seems that the song is a Romanian tech song that was pretty much going nowhere on the charts. But this kid named Gary Broslma evidently webcammed himself singing along with it. And in true best friend fashion, his buddy found it and slathered it all over the internet! The rest is history. Within two months, it was no. 1 on the charts in three countries in Europe and is actually getting quite a lot of play time on the American radio. The video has been shown on the Tonight show, and a spoof of American Idol featuring it is at this link.

I've known about this for a couple months now. I'm not sure what it says about me, but I have it bookmarked.

I love it! I kinda feel for the guy being splattered all over the net, but at the same time, it never fails to make me smile and giggle. Not in a derisive way, though. It's such a cheerful tune, and he looks like he's having alot of fun. Anytime I need cheering up, I go to that site.

There is an original out there--no pop up pics, the one they made the pop up pics form. The song is by a group called O-zone and they have an English version as well that they sing. Don't believe the sub titles other sites put on it. Guy made it to send to his GF--the words are about painting his love on the walls and so on.

If you have Napster--the song is Dragostea Din Tie, by O-Zone play the Romanian version--that's the English one.

It was used in a comedy movie--Napoleon Dynamite --- there is a scene in there where a very geeky looking guy does a dance to it. Very funny.

And there is a site out there that has the uncut un-messed with version.

When I emailed our son (at college) with the numa numa link, he was so blase. Apparently college students have been singing it for months and know all the words, and sources which mock it, polite yawn. Once again I'm totally too late on the latest 'in' thing.

(Which is okay, because you don't want your mom to be cool. That would be too weird.)

However, he did share this: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/llama.php

Delightful!

My wife sent me this link. For some strange reason, I watched the video for an hour! It is addictively funny.

Either that or I am easily amused.

Mate, you're not the only one. This guy is the patron saint of my cubicle area now.

Here are some more links:

Parody (hilarious if you've heard the song before; puzzling if not): http://thunder.yansa.net/dragostea.html

Other links (including the Lego version): http://www.arkady.org.uk/DDT_Links.html

The lyrics are a bit naff, but IMHO, they're more articulate/expressive than 99% of Top 40 lyrics.

Oh man, spewing diet pop all over the place, that last link was a hoot. Now which lyrics are the ones you are talking about?

Those on the link site or the real (as sung by O-zone not the love from the linden trees version?) English version ones?

lord---getting rid of the tears and ready to laugh again--yeah

Play it again---

Eraser circulated the Numa link about 6 moths ago, and started something of an underground groupie club. There's a version with english subtitles and one without the pop-ups or subtitles. My favorite. They had this kid on Good Morning America a few months ago, after his little video feed topped 1 million hits. Wild uh? :)

Oh, that is a great link. Us college kids have been passing that around in AIM links, profiles, etc. since last semester. :)

Cassie, try this link. It leads directly to the original, sans-subtitles version.

Thanks for trying to help...it loads, he starts to sing, then stops, sings, stops, loads again, sings, stops..... There was a pop up offer to download Albino etc...I wanted to see this thing, so I clicked yes, but nothing happened. Prob just as well, I have an addictive personality!
