The BCS Blows It Again

Two words.

Boise State.

Undefeated. 12-0. Played BCS Conference foes. Ranked in the top twelve, as per non-BCS conference teams when under consideration for a BCS bowl. Now then, WHY is Boise State NOT playing in a BCS bowl?

Two conferences.

ACC. Big East.

Are they still worthy of automatic BCS bowl bids? I don't think so. I think Boise State got screwed. Again.

the Poinsettia Bowl?

Not even a January 1 game. Totally not cool. Granted, TCU is a good team...but seriously? the Poinsettia bowl? Come on!

It's all about the money. Boise wouldn't draw enough viewers.

The BCS was and still is a bad idea. The traditional polls and bowl bids worked fine, except for regional biases at times. Boise probably would not have qualified for an 8-team playoff if one existed.
