It is illegal to do it to a living person, so would you like to have it done to you after death? (Lets assume that you have unlimited funds. hehe)

Remember, there is no guarantee that you will ever be 'woken up.'

I choose no.

No way. Life's been bad enough this time around, why would I want to be woken up and deal with more crap.

One of the reasons commonly given for cryonics is that you could be frozen with an incurable disease and awoken when they find a cure for it. My question is this: what possible reason could future generations have for waking up a bunch of frozen people? The educational problems would be enormous. Populations are already high enough. They certainly wouldn't need more drains on their resources.

The only real purpose I can see for cryonics right now (if it could be perfected) is to freeze body parts for transplantation.

Personally, I think it's taking our fear of death a little too far. Even if you've got an incurable disease, and sometime in the future they could and would wake you up and cure you (and as Roger says, why would they), you're still eventually going to end up dead.

Because the primary cause of death is birth. And since you were born, you are going to die. 100% chance, no reprive. Why would you want to go through that twice?

As for living forever, think on this: Death is also the necessary precursor for birth. When we die, we make room for someone else. Otherwise, the world would become overpopulated even more quickly than it is becoming, and life would be miserable for everyone.

Hmm, if it came to me living forever or having some annoying poopy smelly crying babies being born... Guess which I'd choose?

And the reason we have birth is to ensure perpetuation of the species. If we conquered death, birth would become unnecessary. Right? (Here's hoping sex continues on unabated though. ;))

They can't freeze my head. . . that I reserve as my sole personal property.

They can however freeze. . . other parts of me. I am a kind, generous soul, why would I deprive that from posterity?

No, I don't even want to pay for embalming. Just dump my weighted body in the ocean over the abyss and let the organisms down deep recycle me.
