FREE html editor?

Dear All:

So, I've got my cool webpage. I just want to do is make a little change to it. I've downloaded an ftp server.

All I need is an HTML editor so I can post one code into my page. Does anyone know of a reliable and free HTML/Web editor download?

Hope this question makes sense. If there's another thread that answers this, please do let me know. Couldn't find any.

HTML is just text, so you don't need anything other than a simple text editor like Notepad. Make the changes to your file, and then view the changes in your web browser.

When I want free (or shareware) software, I always try CNET.com (and click the Downloads tab). Searching for "HTML editors" results in almost a thousand hits.

html kit is good...and includes ftp. You don't need a server for ftp if your host already has one...just a client.
