Our table gobblers have been selectively bred to have extremely large breasts, which has worked against their ability to fly.

This seems counter to the surgical alteration of human breasts, which represents a huge flight of fancy**

**an idea which shows a lot of imagination but which is not practical or useful in real situations

I'm afraid this is true. I can't fly... but I sure can float!

It's my second favorite WKRP episode...the first being the one where Scum of the Earth is brought in to play a concert by WKRP.

"Phone Cops" was pretty good too.

Scum of the Earth!

"By chance was the car moving when he got out?"

"Yes, I believe it was."

I display my amazing ignorance of all things turkey by confessing that until I moved down into the US I truly believed that turkeys did NOT fly.

Until a large wild one winged his way over our car one day on the highway. My husband almost crashed the car, he was laughing so hard at my shock and bewilderment at seeing a turkey fly. But everything I knew, I learnt from that episode.

of course, I didn't know what was in SPAM until recently either.

I am woefully ignorant.

:D

"Red wigglers... the Cadillac of worms! Available at finer worm stores everywhere!"

"Hey, you're young and swingin',
No time to think about tomorrow
But there ain't no way to deny it
Some day, you're gonna buy it.
Plan today,
Go for a Ferryman
Tomorrow!
Ferryman, Ferryman,
he's the man with the plot, the man with the plan!
Ferryman, Ferryman,
He's the mortician man who loves you!
A lot!
Bye-bye... bye-bye..."

For many people in the US over a certain age, all you have to say is "the turkey episode of WKRP" and they crack up, like "the walnut episode of Dick Van Dyke".

God said, "John, I want you to be a golf pro."

And from the episode where the studio was picketed by elderly listeners: "I've killed a lot of old people in my time and I'm not above doing it again."
