ICQ - yeah, I've been with 'em since the creation of the internet. I've got 7 contacts - 2 friends and five co-workers; no one's online but me. They're organized into 'Friends' and 'Co-Workers'.

10 people all on the same list, none are online, and I don't organize anything.

I can't check to see if anyone is online because I'm at work.

Yes, they block it. Yahoo even has a way to use your browser if you dont want to download the chat engine, but our firewall prevents it.

So not unusual. My girlfriend and I work across from each other, and we use our work's instant message client (sametime in lotus notes). Sometimes we talk outloud, sometimes we talk via chat, depending on the topic.

I use gmail chat most of the time. I don't know how many I have listed b/c whoever has gmail and I email is on there. Currently, there are 3 people on.

My work does block my chat...but I find a way around it everytime.

I have 48 people
And 14 people are on.

I have it organize as Guys, Girls, Away, Away and Idle, Idle, Phone, and Offline.

Awhile ago I used to have it organized as A, B, C, etc. but that was too annoying lol

i have windows live, i think theres about 19 or 20 people on there, 3 are online atm, however i think i only talk to about 4 or 5 of them...mine are organized in online/offline fashion...and i made a seperate one for my boyfriend called..."my boyfriend "

Uh, between my two (which have overlapping contacts, which I won't count), I have a grand total of six. I'm on the wrong computer, so I don't know who is online right now and who isn't, though.

I only chat on the phone.

Not that this is either here or there, but I just noticed that I'm not on any of your lists even though some of you have SEVERAL DOZEN contacts.

Lets see, on windows live i have 5. none online. on yahoo i have 6, none online. on ventrillo i have 23 with 2 online, 2 afk and the rest offline. I havent looked at my aim, icq, for years. oh yeah, skype, i have 4 with none online. all are split by online/offline status.

I use Yahoo mostly. 5 contacts, none online.

I use Windows Live just to talk to my one friend who hates Yahoo. He's currently online but at work and therefore only available to work contacts.

I only have 7 visible for immediate chat-access.

Right now right now, 2 are online.

They are alphabetically listed.
