Anyhow, I'd use a biblical name for my papal name. Something like, I dunno, Pope Ruth I.

In a novel I never finished (nor, really, started), about an American deacon who is elected Pope and imports his Jewish wife and teenage son to the Vatican, he calls himself Penitent.

I suppose I'd go for the tried-and-true: Pope Joan II.

Oh, but you're looking for silly names. I promise I'll check back when I think of one.
