This is one for South Park fans.

Saturday, in the swimming pool parking lot, I saw a Toyota Prius (you know, the HYbrid car) with a license plate that said...

SMUG

I cracked up. If I'd had a pen and paper, I'd have left a note that said, "So, you drive a HYbrid? GOOD FOR YEEWWWWW!" ("Thaaaaaanks!")

I've seen a woman driving around Vegas with vanity plates that read: BMW GIRL.

She drives a Mercedes.

I haven't seen the driver but, there is always a car parked in our library lot with the plate that says: 4U2READ.

I saw a bright pink Toyota Supra (??? I think - some rice burner, at any rate) with the plates HVNSNT.

If Heaven is painted that colour, I aint going.

Saw a very beat up car the other day with the plate "LV2RGU."

This one isn't funny, but very telling. It belonged to the manager of a McDonalds resturant.

Our kids' dentist had OPENWIDE. My dentist has GOATMEAL, which I don't even try to understand.

I rarely see one that's funny. If I have to sound it out twice to get it, it fails.

Maryn, hard to please

Not so much funny as cute - I used to work with a real sweetheart of a girl a bit younger than myself who drove a little red Miata with a plate that said LADYINRED. Now in her case, she was very much a lady...

ETA - how could I have forgotten this one? I used to know a sales rep (nicest guy) named Chuck Stoner who drove a ginormous white vintage Caddy complete with tailfins and a plate that read STONECHUCKR.

I saw a 4Runner just today that had a plate that read NEUROFZ. Wait. That's my 4Runner. It beats my old Volvo, which had NUROFIZ, but because the O looked like a D most people read it as NURDFIZ. Still appropriate, I guess.

See, it's that sort of silly but endearing story that makes you so sexy.

To women.

Um, ... *runs*

==========

A couple of years ago, I saw a P-plater* driving a ute. His plate read 2NASTE (I'm guessing 2NASTY) was taken. But he had the probationary tag wedged in behind the plate, on the right-hand side.

So, all the way home, I snickered and wondered what a Tuna Step was.

The one I had on my restored '73 truck described both me and the truck.

I've got the car of my dreams on order (british racing green mini), and I'm considering the perfect vanity plate for it. I'm leaning heavily for the hexadecimal code for the color. Yeah. I'm a web developer. I'm a geek. :)

What is it with dentists? I've seen a dentist plate around here with 2THDR and an orthodontist with BRACEBUS as his plate.

Oarsman, a guy in my work parking lot, which is right outside the university's dental school, has INCYSOR on his. Yuk. Yuk.

I always get the vapors from the aspirational ones--MD 2B, MBA 08.
