Those TED talks are great, I've seen many of those videos over the last year or so.
On a similar theme is the Long Now Foundation, which (among other things) has monthly talks by various notables, available for free as mp3's. Scroll down and click on "All seminar audio is available for Download & Podcast" to listen.
