I should pray to god you don't make all your life decisions based on the responses of anonymous idiots in an internet forum.

That said, yes! Absolutely!

It all depends on which aspect of your biology they wish to prospect. If it's a part that will grow back, then I say "Go for it!"
;)

Sadly, what happens at these conferences is that people do presentations...usually with some kind of Powerpoint thing...

You get to meet extraordinary people, but in a rather forced way...I mean they are there to do some business and they are cashing in (to some
degree) on their extraordinariness. And sometimes the scientific stuff
is astounding. This conference sounds pretty interesting I have to admit.

Do you drink?
Do you ski?
Do you have sex with drunken skiiers who are also biologists?
If so, then "hell yeah!"

There's the rub. After 40 years of drinking and ski-ing and so on...

I don't drink much and I ski even less.

I'm not even sure about the habitual encounter with extreme extremophile
biologists these days.

Otherwise I guess I would get my tickets and so on.

Well, then...
Really, what else is there to do in Trondheim in February?

Drink is fearfully expensive in Norway. I hope you're on expenses

Sounds like fun, Higgins. Also sounds like real science, not fiction, so I moved this thread here, to the Science Fact sub-forum.
