Toshiba satellite P200--paper in screen?

yeah wierd

help pls.

I've a 15 mo. old Toshiba satellite P200 laptop, and there is white paper sticking out at the lower right and left corners of the screen between the screen and the frame.

It extended up maybe 2-3 mm--which I've carefully trimmed trying not to puncture or cut the screen *cringe* and out from each of the corners to the center about 1.25 cm.

Any one know why it's there, the function etc?
