My follow-up novel has been mired in the muck for so long that I thought I'd try to motivate myself with a NaNoMo effort. 50k words is a lot, and my first novel weighs in at just over 160k words, so I'm only really hoping to get myself out of the rut and push things along. I've had my ideas for quite some time, and am really tired of being so stuck.

My goal for NaNoMo is to add about 30k words to my work in progress. 1,000 words a day seems to be a pretty good goal for me, as I'm a pretty slow writer in the best of circumstances (downhill, with a tail-wind and sneaking up on my story).

I can do this.

I thought of working on my WIP, but decided to go with the rules and create a separate 50,000 word novel, started on Nov 1.

I can do this.

Sure you can! Adding to your word count is so much easier when your Inner Editor is held hostage at NaNoWriMo headquarters.

BTW, welcome to AW. :welcome:
