I'm not sure, how in MS Word (or works) does one add the bar to represent repeating digits after the decimal?

Surely modern word processes can easily handle such a basic requirement.

A Google search led to one site, led to another, and finally to:

http://www.wikihow.com/Overline-Characters-in-Microsoft-Word

  1. Navigate your cursor to where you want to insert your overlined character or word.
  2. Press CTRL + F9, which will insert a set of braces (this is command+F9 on a Mac)
  3. Type in "EQ \x \to(P)" if you want to insert an overlined character above a P, otherwise replace P with your character or word.
  4. Press Shift+F9 to get your character (option+F9 on a Mac).
This looks odd but it works. If for example you wanted the second 09 in 1.0909 to have a bar, you'd type (09) in place of the (P) in the example above. You don't include the quotes around EQ \x \to(P)

Hmm, seems this does not work in MS Works. I really don't understand why MS made two crappy word processors, instead of just 1.

Guess I'll have to go to OpenOffice or something.

Thanks anyhow.
