She said something to the affect of terrorists being anyone who looks to violently overthrow or attack the government, which is more in the realm of treason.

Come on, be honest for God’s sake – there is nothing that she could have said that would have satisfied her detractors.

A simple "yes" would have sufficed for me.

I saw that earlier and was going to post about it, but just couldn't bear to start another Palin thread.

But yes, it's astonishingly ignorant, and is part of the anti intellectualism and total lack of understanding that I've commented on before, mostly coming from the populist far right. "Fruit flies! Can you believe it?" she said to the audience with amused contempt, and they ate it up.
