Spooky updates... Open Office upgrade increases doc word count

Okay, so, the other day I updated to Open Office.org version three. I've been doing a lot of writing today, and I keep a spreadsheet that records all of my chapters' word counts (I keep chapters as separate files)... Now, I went and edited a chapter a few minutes ago, I know that I only added a couple of words... But when I did the word count, it had gone up a good 40 or so. I thought "Hmm, that's weird". So, I deleted all of my notes and re-did the count. Exactly the same.

I decided to check my other chapters, and they have all gone up. Over the whole book, I've found an additional thousand words (out of ~70000)!

What the hell?!

I've come to the conclusion that I am a schizophrenic and my alternate personality likes to wake up at 5AM and write edits on my WIP for an hour or so and then return to sleep. That has to be where those extra words came from...
