I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I'm doing a paper last minute, and I'm trying to cite a book that I haven't read based on an online article about the book. I found everything I need out about the book in order to site it except for the publishing location. It was published by Perseus Books. Does anyone have any idea where they publish out of? I'm assuming New York but I don't want to be wrong and lose marks on my paper. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't cite a book you haven't read. Instead, cite it as read in the article:

In The Trouble with Tribbles, author James T. Kirk describes the furry creatures as "an invasive pest" (cited in Jones A10).

and in the bibliography:

Jones, Ralph. "Kirk on the tribbles." The Washington Post September 7, 1965: A10-11.

Note: this is MLA style.
