Hmmm... Maybe he was trying to tell us that if we all lived by the Old Norse calendar, this sort of thing wouldn't happen. It makes sense, I've never heard of tales of the vikings worrying about short-selling. Though maybe now would be the time to go Viking on some hedge fund managers. Pillage, pillage, pillage!
