Can someone tell me how to uninstall crawler.com? The usual ways do not work.

What is crawler.com exactly? Are you uninstalling it from Add/Remove Programs, or is it something that's attached itself to a web browser?

Sounds like some kind of adware? What are the "usual ways"?

If you don't already have Spyware Doctor or similar adware protection, you can download and install this via Google Pack.

And if you don't have up-to-date antivirus software then consider downloading and installing AVG

There are numerous threads in Tech Help forum that suggest alternatives to the above, tho' they work well for me.

I tried add/remove programs. This thing comes up when I log on to the internet. It should come up Google. When I go to crawler.com/troubles, it tells me to click on the crawler button on the tool bar, go to help, click uninstall. The problem is, I can't find the button they're referring too. I've clicked everything that looks like it could be the 'crawler button' but nothing. FYI I was downloading free smilies, and got this....don't ask me how.
I even did a system restore and it didn't get rid of it.
