Hiya Kids,

I wanted to start a thread that has all of the interesting and useful websites for Pagan/Religious topics. Add more as you come across them. :) Some of these sites I've used extensively. There are others that I've come across in various searches, and they seemed interesting.

Pagan Resources from The Nine Houses of Gaia (http://www.9houses.org/Pagan.html) -- link is now dead

Maine Pagan Resource page (http://www.janeraeburn.com/maine/) -- Link dead

Neo-Pagan Encyclopedia Resources (http://www.geocities.com/mikerdna/encneo.html)

Religious resources (http://intranet.dalton.org/groups/Rome/RRel.html)

Neo pagan Links (http://www.geocities.com/mikerdna/neolinks.html)

MetaReligion (http://www.meta-religion.com/World_Religions/Ancient_religions/ancient_religions.htm) - This site is cool. I've used it as a stepping stone to finding out about South American Gods, but there are many categories listed.

InfoPlease Encyclopedia (http://www.infoplease.com/encyclopedia/0prarelig.html)

All Refer Religion Articles (http://reference.allrefer.com/encyclopedia/categories/arelig.html)

Questia (http://www.questia.com/library/religion/)

So, add your favorites and let me know if any of these are bonk and I'll delete them.

Beliefnet.com (http://www.beliefnet.com) is very useful and has information and discussion lists for almost every (if not every) religion out there.

One site I really enjoy is www.bigmyth.com (http://www.bigmyth.com), which includes animated creation mythos for something like 24 different cultures.

I've used Byzant Mystical (http://byzant.com/) off and on for a number of years.

The mythologies, pantheons thread had me thinking everyone here might enjoy The Internet Sacred Text (http://www.sacred-texts.com/index.htm)archive. Fun site. But be warned, you can lose entire days of BIC time there. So be careful.

See how cool Lori is?

This is from Beliefnet. Carole just mentioned it in the Pagan Chatter thread and I remembered how interesting this quiz was. Try it out:

There's a hefty Pagan community with countless boards at http://www.mysticwicks.com/ I run a numerology class and tend to wreck havoc in the arcade room over there. My username is Watchman11

Adding the Book of Light website - http://www.bol.sapphiremoon.info/ - covers topics from the Ancient World to the Wheel of the Year and a few others in between.

Another resource I find infinitely useful:
http://www.sacred-texts.com/

There's more source material here than any decent esoterically minded writer can hope to shake a stick at.

I only have one to share currently.

http://www.forgottenbooks.org/

This site actually republishes antique/forgotten books and has all of them viewable online. I know for a fact they have both the Poetic Edda and Prose Edda and quite a few books on other mythologies and religions as well. You just have to dig for them.

Thanks!

I'm looking for information on the worship of Thor. I have come across one, are there any others?

Unseen Moon, I'd recommend googling "Thor Blot". You'll find several websites with different rituals/blots. Good luck!
