Can you suggest any (free) resources? It seems hit or miss. Some of the authors who have websites do list contact info or the names of their agents. Otherwise, googling is very "hit or miss."

Any suggestions?

Sometimes I type in an author's name on AgentQuery.com and the search results will pull up that author's agent. Doesn't always work, but it's worth a try.

Authors usually thank their agents on the acknowledgments page. It's not always as obvious as "thanks to my agent XYZ," but you can generally figure out who's the agent, who's the editor and who's family.
