Hi everyone,

In my WIP the MC is prescribed valium for a short while, it's the mid-1980s & I hope someone knows/can remember what color pills were available at that time. Some were white & some were blue, but I know there was at least one other color: yellow? pink?

So many pills are white I don't want to use that, & a "little blue pill" means something else now. Help? Google's being less than forthcoming, or I'm not searching very well.

Thanks in advance. Rep points for all on-topic responses! :)

Have a great day!

Depends on the dose.

Brand name Valium =
• 10 milligram tablets are blue
• 5 milligram tablets are yellow
• 1 milligram tablets are white.

Yellow was available in the mid-1980s for sure? I found sites that explained the colors/mgs, but nothing that could confirm that yellow was available in 1985-86.

Thanks! :)

Check out Drugs.com. just enter the name and get whatever info you need, including what the tablet, capsule looks like.

Thanks, RJK. I found a link on that site that (eventually) led me to the history lesson I needed! :)
