Kicked off last night with a wonderful piece by Bukowski, AuthorScoop launched its newest daily feature, Midnight Poetry.

We'd like to extend an invitation to all AW poets to submit work they'd like considered for publication on the site.

We are also looking for guest columns for 'The Writing Life' and other departments.

Check out the guidelines and we look forward to seeing your stuff!

Submission Guidelines

AuthorScoop is always on the lookout for exceptional poetry for our Midnight Poetry department and short essays dealing with the writing life, the publishing industry and books. Previously published or cross-posted works are welcome.
Payment: AuthorScoop is a publicly accessible, ad-free labor of love for our small staff of contributors and, as such, no money comes in or goes out. This is a fancy way of saying that we do not pay for poems or essays at this time.
Poetry: To submit poems for consideration for Midnight Poetry, send up to 3 poems in the body of an email to [email protected]. Include a link to your site, if you have one, and we’ll include it with the post if your work is selected.
There are no restrictions on form or subject matter, though epic 1000-line works will likely not be chosen due to the debilitating effects of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Essays: To submit essays of 1000 words or less related to books, publishing or the writing life, send one essay at a time in the body of an email to [email protected]. Include a link to your site, if you have one, and we’ll include it with the post if your work is selected.
