I have six requested partials (a non-fiction work) out to six agents, letting them know up front it's a multiple submission and one agent wanting to know as soon as an offer is made from anyone else.
Also one different book, also non fiction, being read directly by a publisher, (no agent required, specialized press, yes legit, NOT a vanity press, I always do my homework on that!)
I hope this is the correct area of the forum to post this thread, as I'm still relatively a Newbie here.
It's very hard to wait, and I'm trying to keep a positive outlook. These agents are top notch so I can only hope and pray that one of them will understand my work and offer to rep. One of these agents asked to see a partial on each of my fictional works as well, which I thought was so nice.

I read these posts often and say a prayer for each one of us. Writing is a difficult life and we need to support one another! I have found that the agents that have responded have been very classy, and most do not take too long to respond.
There are exceptions, but we learn from them, don't we?
