So, I'm sitting here contemplating all the manuscripts I have out making the rounds (one picture book - soon to be two; four short stories; five poems, and one activity), my recent first sale (to Highlights), and the amount of time it takes to get just one idea from inception to publication.
I figure, if I work things *just* right, I should have my professional career as a childrens writer *just* where I want it...by the time I'm 103.
Are we all nuts, or what?
