Bread side dish. Goes great w/ anything!!

Okay... I have been putting this off 'cause once I share it - I have to kill all of you.
Ancient family recipe - seriously awesome! It's one of those things you take to a pot luck then everyone waits to see who picks up the empty dish to ask you for the recipe. It's simple but yummy!!

melt 1 stick (1/2 C) butter in 8x8 pan
add 1 TBS chopped Parsley
1 TBS Parm cheese
2 TBS dried onion
1 TSP Dill

Cut Pillsbury biscuits in 1/3rds and add to pan.
Wait 2 minutes (to let the butter & goodies soak in) flip over

Bake as per biscuit directions - (350 for 12-15 min - I think)

Voila!

Trust me. Yummy.
(Thats the real directions but I tend to cut back on the butter a bit & no longer measure the ingredients - I just add it to the pan)
I recommend doubling and making in a 9x13!

i think i might leave out the dill but that sounds pretty good, ab.

now, hand over the real recipe. i know people like you,....leaving out some key ingredient or some such thing so it's not quite as good as yours!

How much butter is a stick? For those of us who live in places where butter is sold by the pound or by the the gram.

You had me up until you said Pillsbury. But I will give it a try with Bisquick. :)

Dill would be the key for me to avoid it. To my palate, dill is an abomination upon the face of the earth.

Sounds good, but how do you cut the biscuits into thirds? Sounds tricky. Knowing me I'd end up with a diced mess.

1/4 cup :)

Are you sure you don't mean 1/2 a cup? I'm in one of those places with out sticks of butter as well, but I'm certain that I recall there being 4 sticks to a lb of butter - each stick 1/2 a cup - no?

You are correct -- a stick is 1/2 cup (8 tbsp.).

Those biscuits sound yummy! I'm sure I could eat the whole darn pan myself.

okay - A few PMs... a few phone calls...I suck...

yes - I stick - 1/2 C! We got confused on 1/4# vs. 1/4C...

& yes meowgirl - be careful - you can eat a whole pan if you don't watch it!
