How many hours of sleep do you get or need?
I never seem to get more than 6 hours of sleep per night.

You could let me sleep 12 hours or more and I'll never be "leapin' out of bed and hittin' the ground running." That's just no in my nature.Functional minimum: 6.
Leapin' out of bed and hittin' the ground running: 8.

I'm curious why you ask the question.
There are really 2 answers to the question. I get less than 6. I need more than 8.

I stay up late just to write, not even make a deadline. I can't write with my familyOh you are, eh?
Actually, I was just curious to find out if I'm the only one not getting enough sleep. But since we're writers, I figure maybe there are other writers staying up late at night trying to finish an article to meet a deadline. I stayed up until 12:30 a.m. writing my article, not finishing. So I had to get up somewhere around 6-6:30 a.m. to finish. Now I feel like a total zombie.
I need a lot more sleep than I usually get.
I stay up to 12:00 -12:30 because I'm not done drinking beer yet.

And (in Dr. Phil voice) how's that workin' for ya?
And in the long run, isn't that all that really matters? Not too bad in the beer drinking category.
