This generated an interesting discussion on another writer's forum. Do you think it's okay for an author (new/veteran/both) to express his/her political viewpoint? It might be legal, but is it wise? With so many blogs, should a writer hold back?
Which do you agree with more:
1) It's a free country, and if you don't like how I feel, get over yourself. There are plenty of other readers who will agree with me.
or
2) I'm in the business to sell books/stories/scripts and if expressing my political views cost me even one reader, my lips are sealed.
I do have my opinion on this matter, but I'll share once others have been given the chance to think about it and talk.
