Hit another wall today... maybe I'll write the last chapter. Does it still count if part of the story is missing???

Getting there and feeling it. I think I pushed just a leeeetle too hard this year. But I hate starting something and not finishing it.

Revisions should be fun.

I may call it an easy night (like 1K words) tonight. I had a minor midlife crisis meltdown last night and I have drum lessons tonight (the first one in weeks, thanks to the stupid day job).

I'm taking Thursday afternoon and all of Friday off of work. That, plus write-ins on Wednesday and Saturday, should keep me on track, right?

Good job, ladies! I'm outlining, which I think should help me push through to the end. One or two days later than planned, but still, I ain't complaining.

So long as I get done, anyway, I won't.

Lemme know when you find it, SM. I'm still sitting at zero output from yesterday and today.

The weather's beyond frightful tonight - snow and rain mix giving way to snow later - plus there's an author event at the bookstore in the coffee house's basement. Still going, though. But first: wait for my laundry to finish drying so I can have a nice clean shirt to wear.

333 of that was about Avi's reaction to the color red: somebody read him Oscar Wilde's fairy tale The Nightingale and the Rose when he was really young and didn't understand the concepts of metaphor and irony. So. In grand NaNo tradition, I had Avi summarize the story to Brian, telling him why red scares him so much (Brian accidentally bought Avi a red rose).

Yeah, yeah, I know. Kinda like Burke Andrew and More Tales of the City. So shoot me.

Hee hee... I love Tales - I have to get the newest one - I can't imagine Mouse in his 50s...

Okay - managed to get about 1.5k tonight... so....close....

I always have to ask myself "am I doing this to my characters to help move the plot along, or am I just torturing them? Can't I do both?"

Oh, and it looks like Stephane and Galen, two other characters in this year's NaNo novel, might have a relationship not based on mutual love, respect, and trust but more on...more on......erm...more on...*blushes*...the one who...has...who has......the one who has...LOOK! A KITTY! *runs*

Someone remind me not to edit the craptastic, meandering, pointless scenes I wrote the past two days, please? There are the times when I'm glad that I can only see 5 lines at a time on my AlphaSmart!

ETA: by the way, Soccer Mom, I read your blog entry. I'm editing as I write as well. I'm writing my NaNo novel at the same pace that I write everything else, which means tapping the brakes every so often. Oh well, I hope it means less editing later (yea, right).

Don't edit the crapalicious scenes you wrote yesterday.
