333 of that was about Avi's reaction to the color red: somebody read him Oscar Wilde's fairy tale The Nightingale and the Rose when he was really young and didn't understand the concepts of metaphor and irony. So. In grand NaNo tradition, I had Avi summarize the story to Brian, telling him why red scares him so much (Brian accidentally bought Avi a red rose).
