Somebody left a baby dinosaur on my doorstep this morning. I called Animal Control. They hung up on me. So did the zoo and the police. Now it's eating all my neighbor's prize roses and she's blaming me!!!

What KIND of dinosaur? If it's one of those cute long-necks (brontosauruses?) I'll gladly take it off your hands. Otherwise, I'd just dump it in a park somewhere, it's what everyone else does.

How little is little?

Can it swim?

Flush it, set it free.

Been one of those mornings here, too. My sitter cancelled, so I had to bring the two little penguin babies to work with me. Good thing they're well-behaved.

*Looks around* Juniper, baby, let Jasper have the purple marker. Good girl. That's a cute picture you're drawing, Jasper. What kind of whale is that?

We used to have the same problem with people dumping Chihuahuas on our back porch until I learned to knit sweaters from bacon.

Now we dress 'em up and send 'em out to play with the coyotes.

You could put an ad in the paper to see if anyone's lost a dino - or was he left with a note?
(Voice in background) "Mommy?"
(Looks around at little baby penguin): "What, Jasper?"
"Can we get a dinosaur?"
"We don't have anywhere to keep one, baby. Besides, if it didn't eat the neighbors, it would eat Mommy's flower garden."
(Second voice in background) "Could we get one that would eat the neighbor's stupid barking dogs, then?"
(Tempting though it sounds...) "No, Juniper."

Have you been self-medicating again?

If it's not in violation of any city ordinances (and dinosaurs are not hoofed animals!), you might have a very good thing there. Dinosaur rides could bring in a lot of $$. Just plan for growth.

Awww, that's a cute shot of his younger, slobbering days.

He grew up to be a much more refined and handsome mutt:
