Cheers BB :)

I have to add that my hands have that nice therapeutic layer of horse dirt on them. I suppose I should wash my hands, but it's a good 'mark'

Aw, too cool. Brava to you.

I look forward to Zippy Stories.

08-27-2008, 06:16 AM
Haha, thanks everyone.

Yes, Zippy needs to keep it zipped. I'm using that on thursday- my friend will appreciate the humor :)

You know, that's the most I've written in weeks. Maybe tomorrow I can finally write a short, like I've been meaning to for ages.

All the horses I knew are...well, you know. :( But the next time the carriage-ride lady passes by, maybe I can get in a pat. :)

Definitely do! And snap me a pic of that horse from a more flattering angle, k? The carriage is awesome!

Woo Hoo!! So glad for you- I t think I hear a broken heart begining to mend. TB give me pause as well, the only thing flighty-er would be an Arabian (had one take me through a fence once-ouch)

I bet you have Zip listening to everything you ask in no time!

Way to go! He's one lucky horse. :)

08-27-2008, 04:47 PM
sounds like a good, spirited horse you've got.
Congrats on the find. Enjoy :-)

08-27-2008, 05:04 PM
Thanks everyone :) Horsie therapy is excellent. I woke up thinking about Zippy and one of his pasture buddies (who also needs a bit of basic training)

The downside is- I'm still exhausted. Too much fun for me!

08-27-2008, 05:07 PM
Good for you, Christina!

08-27-2008, 06:10 PM
He didn't run sideways and you didn't fall off ... or get scraped off.
This is a good thing.

Nice horsey, nice horsey-horse. Be nice to the human. There may be carrots in your future.

08-27-2008, 06:49 PM
Well, he did go flying sideways once, but not far. I told him to get over it and after a few snorts he did.

And, as per Murphy's law, the friend had just gloated on how he didn't spook at hardly anything! Ha.

*makes note to remember carrots next time*

Very cool! Have fun, and good luck with him!

We don't have a smiley for horseriding, but this one's close:

Keep us informed about your new adventures with Zippy and I'm soooo jealous!

08-28-2008, 03:21 AM
Well now it's time to cry.

I've been feeling meh all day and trying to take it easy after my 'adventures' yesterday (which really wasn't that much activity at all).

My GI is getting increasingly grumpy. If I end up in another round of mega pain... well, I dunno what. I'm at my wits end here and just when I get back on the horse figuratively and literally, reality has to threaten to drag me down

As they say in my WIP- Dragon's teeth.

Test results yet?

Go ride a horse. It's good therapy for you and the horse. Followed by a good rubdown. One for you and one for the horse.
(Suggestion: don't let the horse do yours - the lack of opposable thumbs just doesn't translate into a good massage.)

Oh... man.... here's some :Hug2:

Feel better ASAP or else...

or else what? you ask?

Test results yet?

Results: Yes.
Getting someone to talk to me while my doctor is on holiday: Not happening.

Horse massages are great until they decide to use their teeth. Usually takes 7 seconds. *nod*

I'm not on another pain spiral, I'm not on another pain spiral, I'm not...

08-28-2008, 03:34 AM
Hang in there! :Hug2:

oh, well, hey - at least you aren't suffering. Or bleeding, or dying from some unknown and dread disease, eh? He went on holiday with no one to cover his practice?

Are all his patients supposed to be on holiday, too?

08-28-2008, 03:46 AM
I long ago gave up on the workings of the medical profession.

Go read in bed now. Cheers everyone.

Where's my Plan B siggy when I need it? At least the light saber is spiffy...

08-28-2008, 03:52 AM
Sorry you are feeling bad. I hope you feel better soon. Don't give up yet because Zippy may just give you the zip you've been looking for. I've got such a messed up back but I refuse to let it stop me from riding a horse when I get the chance. When I'm up on their back I feel so free and pain free. I know it's mental but it's such a great feeling. Hang in there and I hope everything works out for you really soon.:Hug2:

So, I'm actually feeling good today, despite yesterday's hiccup. Well, ofc, that won't do. Fate is out to get me after all.

Just as I was getting ready to prepare for today's Zip adventure, I got a call. Zip's owner (not the aforementioned friend) is pulling him from the program (which is fine, it's his horse, but darn it!). So now I have no project horse.

Well, I chatted with my friend, and I'm gonna explore some horsie options that will suit both me and the program... When one door closes....

There is one ploy in my mind, and if that pans out I'll have a fun, quiet, project pony. If not, I'll keep looking.

08-29-2008, 02:03 AM
Wow, I'm sorry to hear Zippy was removed from the program. That sucks! I was waiting to hear about more adventures with him. I hope you find a replacement really soon. Somewhere out there a horse is waiting for you....I just know it.:)
