Yay for Query Hell! And me!

So I started working on my query for Toadflax back in January.... Then worked with a writing coach on two huge revisions of the book, which took me through the summer. Started sending out the queries in July, got only rejections, so I came back to Query Hell. Karen, Jim and Michael helped me really refocus on a single strong conflict--and that letter just got me a next-day partial request--from Writer's House!!!!

Can I get a SQUEE?!!!!!

Only asked for the first chapter, which always makes me nervous....is the opening strong enough....? But hey, at least the idea caught someone's fancy, which is a huge hurdle.

Excuse me. I have to go hop up and down now.
