I love Sports themed films! Love most that have been mentioned already, but I don't see my personal favorite on the list- Glory Road

The Pride of the Yankees

And, while it's a little cheesy, The Natural

The King of Kong.

No, seriously. It's a documentary about a guy trying to break the world Donkey Kong record, but it fits the sports movie formula so perfectly that it outdoes almost all of them.

A League of Their Own.

Great movie. Although I don't normally like watching baseball, I love a good baseball movie. Baseball can be painfully boring to watch live, but baseball movies cut out all the boring stuff and show just the hits and home runs.

And League of Their Own has a great story.

The Replacements
Field of Dreams

What? Theyre the only movies Mr. Monotone I and II used their monotones to advantage. Plus, Field of Dreams has terrific actors. And I just love The Replacements. I don't care if it's cheesy.

Mighty Ducks! Mighty Ducks!

(Are you guys getting that I like my sports flicks with a side of cheese and teenage underdog? They were great when I was growing up.)

I'll add my voice for A League Of Their Own. I thought it was rather interesting, once I got around the hype that was built around Rosie O'Donnell and Madonna being in it (my hometown, South Bend, IN, had a team in the league! Go South Bend Blue Sox, league champs of 1951 and 1952! w00t!)

Bull Durham was great, too. Probably the only movie where I can tolerate Kevin Costner.

I remember screaming my head off during the final race in Breaking Away. I need to see that again.

And I'll add Rollerball to the list. The original, not the remake.

Cinderella Man takes my top honors. A League of their Own was also fantastic.

Now what the heck was the name of that movie where the whole football team died in a plane crash? I can't think of the name, but it was a true account. It's not Alive. It's the other one.
