So I figure this is not even REMOTELY writing related, so here it belongs. :)

The hubs and I are officially HOME from Iraq -- we finally have internet in our apartment, our furniture was delivered yesterday, and we're loving every minute of it.

And, we're pregnant. :) 11 weeks tomorrow. We heard the heartbeat today, and got a bunch of sonogram pictures. The little tadpole was doing backflips, waving his (or her) hands around, and kicking his little feet. It was adorable. My first appointment with the doctor is on Wednesday, so whee!

Just thought I'd share. :D

Don't say that! We ordered pizza for dinner tonight. :) I was planning on tucking in with a shovel. That'd be a bad idea, you think? ;)

And, we're pregnant.

"We're" pregnant? Is that even biologically possible?

Congrats.

Either ain't so bad, depending on your job. Balad is called JBB now (Joint Base Balad) and is pretty luxe...they've got two pools, a movie theater, and a taco bell. Good luck, and stay safe! :)

Welcome home, and congrats!

From someone who has been living on vegemite on toast and breakfast cereal for the last few days, eat as much pizza as you bloody well want, and enjoy!

First, thanks for your service to our country. Your work and sacrifice are very much appreciated.

Second, in case some of our younger viewers aren't aware, there are two things in the air that are likely to help a woman become pregnant: her legs. ;)

Congrats on the safe arrival home and the pregnancy!

I swear pizza is the ultimate pregnancy food. My husband is so sick of pizza, but I could eat it all day every day. He was sick of it last pregnancy too.

Considering I can't seem to gain weight, maybe that's a good idea? (I've managed to lose another 2lbs in a week.)

Oh heck yes it is. That's why God made Weight Watchers, for the aftermath.

Wonderful news Paichka! Welcome home and there's nothing like that first hearing of the heartbeat, is there? I still tear up when I think about the first time.
