Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. I feel like I'm standing on a podium about to receive an award and I'm terrified I'll leave someone out and they'll kill me in my sleep.

Why, you ask?

Because I just FINISHED MY FIRST DRAFT OF STREET BLOOD!

...

This is really only important to me. And that's because it happens to be the first novel length novel I've finished. It clocks in at 65,885 words after 292 days of on and of writing and 449 hours and 49 minutes of staring at the screen of my word processor.

I am so excited for the edits and revises. And when I'm done that I'm going to be even more excited about betas.

SO... Yay to future writings and accomplishments of which this is the first. Any first book first draft finishes stories? You know you have them...

Congratulations, Alainn! That's fantastic!

Finishing the first draft of your first book is a wonderful feeling. I went out to an Italian restaurant to celebrate. (It was the week of my birthday, but still...)

Ah, I have a heart-warming and profund tale of end of first draft:
"My fingers and wrists hurt. A lot."
And...
"Before purchasing a keyboard, be sure it has the @#$% ç key"

Right, serious, now... Congratulations. And, like my pal Johnnie uses to say... Keep Walking

Six weeks rest for you now, and not a minute less. Start writing something else if you must, but let the first MS cool off.

CGs on the first step. It's a big one.
