The personal diaries of George Orwell are released today - and every day for almost the next four years - spooling out on their corresponding dates seventy years later. It's a rare look into the past from the future the man often strove to predict and caution us against in his writings.
AuthorScoop will be featuring daily snippets from the diary, commentary, and links to the full entries. Orwell fans will gain insight on the life of a literary giant, but people who simply appreciate perspective stand to gain even more. Who knows? They might end up Orwell fans!
The project (and AuthorScoop in tow) has earned a nod from Andrew Sullivan at The Atlantic.com.
Here's a look at William Haskins' preview to the event and today's first entry.
